Office Visits
What to expect at your first visit
Your initial visit will give you the opportunity to meet our team, receive a comprehensive exam with one of our doctors, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During this visit, we will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Provide a complete oral exam with x-rays to determine whether treatment is necessary
- Help you create a customized and prioritized treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information
Please note that most first visits do NOT include the initial teeth cleaning appointment. We do our best to accommodate an added appointment with a hygienist; however we cannot guarantee that our schedule will allow for a double appointment of an initial exam with a cleaning. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you.

Regular checkups

We encourage regular checkups for individuals age four and up. Regular checkups are important to:
- Check for problems you might not see or feel
- Find early signs of decay
- Treat oral health problems early, while they are still manageable
Regular checkups include a thorough cleaning and polishing, and an oral exam by the doctor. During the oral exam, your doctor will check the health of your mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks, and tongue, and will check your existing fillings and restorations because constant pressure from chewing, grinding, or clenching can cause them to wear away, chip, or crack.
Regular checkup appointments typically take about 50 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and we ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time (a charge may apply).
